ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Participate in production on-call on rotational basis (12x5 supports for production environment) for all Oracle database environments to include problem identification, reporting, tracking, analysis, and resolution.
• Research and analyze all assigned anomalies - record, track and log all findings and recommendations.
• Establish, maintain, and monitor database security, roles, user-role assignments, and individual logins per company security policies and procedures.
• Assist project teams in setting up and testing development, test, and production environments.

• Architect, design, and implement replication and/or data synchronization.

• Working experience on performance tuning.
• Monitor database performance and space utilization – investigate and resolve reported issues.

ORACLE -
• Working with Oracle support (Service Request) on critical issues.
• Install, configure Oracle 10g/9i/8x databases and apply oracle patches on unix platforms for dev/test/uat/prod environments.
• Capacity planning and Space management including added data files and Database growth in production box.
• Setup refresh/replication process using materialized views and resolving the issues on refresh failures.
• Exposure to Oracle streams and Golden Gate replication.
• Experience on RAC.
• Having exposure to AWR/ADDM and other tuning advisors.
• Exposure to system programming (Shell, SQL and PL/SQL) to automate database pickup, monitoring and other DBA functions and Basic performance tuning of SQL.
