Designation: Software Development Engineer
Job Description:
Basic Function and Scope of the Position
• Design, develop and maintain the upcoming and existing versions of McAfee Security for Email Server products
• Work with QA and other engineers to understand the technical product requirements.
• Ensures that the deliverables are of high standards and are within the schedule.
Specific Responsibilities/Functions
• Participates in the process of setting future technical strategies and influences strategic decisions for the product in reaction to business needs and/or industry trends.
• Adapts to the demands and is flexible.
Desired Profile:
• 2-5 years of professional experience in developing and maintenance of enterprise software
• Good experience on C++, Win32, OOPS, COM, WTL
• Basic understanding of Web technologies (IIS , .NET (ASP.NET))
• Accurate estimation of timescales for their work
• A strong working knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol stack
• Deep internal knowledge of all aspects of the Windows OS: system calls, exported and non-exported API’s, documented and undocumented internal structures.
- Creativity, responsibility, experience in world-class code development.
• Java experience and debugging a plus
• Experience working with remote teams
• Should be a self starter
• Flexible to work on any technology as per project demands
• Should have past experience in Providing technical assistance to high-profile customers
• Good customer interfacing experience
• Knowledge of Unix based environments is a plus
