Job Description
We at Tech Mahindra, Bangalore are conducting a Walkin for L2/L3, DATACOM development Engineers on SATURDAY, 10th September , 2011.
Lead / Sr.TA / Sr .Engineer with hands-on experience in Architecture, Design and Implementation of Embedded SW for Data Network Element.
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software components in existing and new products. The engineer will also participate in and sometimes lead design reviews. It is expected to have experience in leading small/medium teams.
Desired Profile
Mandatory Skills : -
- Excellent programming experience using C / C++.
- Proficient in multi-process and multi-threaded programming.
- Experience with network programming, including sockets, TCP/IP, UDP and related networking protocols.
Hands on development experience in any one or more area mention below:
• Experience in Datacom product - Feature development.
- Q bridge, P bridge, Provider Backbone bridge
• Layer 2 protocols (Data Link Layer)
- ARCnet / CDP / DCAP /Dynamic Trunking Protocol / Econet / FDDI / Frame Relay / ITU-T G.hn Data Link Layer / HDLC / IEEE 802.11 / IEEE 802.16 / LocalTalk / L2F L2TP / LAPD / LLDP / LLDP-MED / PPP / PPTP / Q.710 / NDP / RPR / SLIP / StarLAN / STP / VTP
• Layer 3 protocols (Network Layer)
- CLNP / EGP / EIGRP / ICMP / IGMP / IGRP / IPv4 / IPv6 / IPSec / IPX / SCCP
• Video & IPTV Application & Services Development:
- VoD, MoD, Electronic Program Guide, Electronic Content Guide, Pay Per View, Digital Video Recorder, Digital Copy Right Protection
• Cable Modem & CMTS development
- DOCSIS specifications, Channel Bonding, Multicasting
