Basic Function and Scope of the Position
The person would be working in the Consumer Group for McAfee Total Protection Products.
Specific Responsibilities/Functions
SDLC & STLC understanding:
Test planning under the guidance of a more senior engineer.
Execution of assigned testing tasks.
Identification and reporting of product defects.
Writes clear and complete defect reports including all required information, and details required for reproduction.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
1-4 years of QA experience
Bachelor Degree or Masters Degree in Computer science
Very good in Black box test techniques & methodologies
Very good analytical, testing & technical skills
Basic programming knowledge preferably in C / C++ / any other object oriented programming
Strong in Windows Concepts like
Different file system
Imaging
Services & Process
OS installation & partitioning
Good in Networking concepts (basics)
Experience in QTP
Very Good in analysis and Troubleshooting
Nice to have
Unix / Linux knowledge
Knowledge in automation (PERL, Python)
Knowledge in non-functional testing (performance, security, reliability etc)
